So, How Much Will It Cost?

Please understand that what you are creating is an Heirloom Quilt for yourself or your loved one that tells a part of their story. We understand and respect that history and are proud to be a part of creating such a wonderful way to continue to love those items that represent such meaning. As such we ask that you move forward with the same understanding and respect that our team is creating an heirloom piece not just a blanket.

For a Standard T-Shirt Quilt- Each T-shirt block is $25.00 There is an additional $10.00 fee if the block is to be made from a sports jersey, tank top, or pieced from multiple shirts or front and backs.

Our pricing is all-inclusive, which includes a great selection of fabrics for your one-of-a-kind quilt, batting, custom professional machine quilting, and binding to commemorate your t-shirt quilt.  You can choose from our in-house inventory of fabrics or purchase your own. We offer a variety of fabrics to choose from. We also offer you, at no additional charge, a 4-inch-wide outer border. The outer border gives a finished look to the quilt, but we can finish the edge without a border if requested. We've had requests for a simpler quilt design that more directly compares to our lower-priced competition.  If you prefer that simple look, just specify the "Frameless or No Sashing" option for $20.00/block. Like all of our T-Shirt quilts, the price is all-inclusive.  But unlike our competition, you get a full 4" outer border around the entire quilt instead of the typical 2 or 3 inches! Please note that the optional accent border is NOT available on this option.

Our Standard T-Shirt Quilts include sashing and cornerstones*** at no additional charge. It is a more traditional design of blocks that are framed by sashing and accented with cornerstones. We can also use a combination of smaller logos, ties, pockets, or almost any fabric item for an additional charge.

Our Basic Option at 22$ per block includes the inner accent and outer 4” borders but without sashing and cornerstones. The Blocks are sewn directly to each other.

Lower-priced Option! Our Frameless/No Sashing T-Shirt Quilt begins at $20.00 per block which is a very economical option for you to consider. All the shirts directly to each other. It does not have sashing, accent border, or 4” border.  This option is great if you have a lot of concert shirts that might be larger than our standard 14" block. We DO stabilize your shirts and we bind the outer edge of the blanket. These quilts are still made with the highest quality materials and will last the owner a lifetime.

For all our quilts we provide the backing and high-quality batting and then FULLY QUILT it together with your t-shirts on the front and or back (additional charge per block and inner accent and outer back borders) with a quilt design of your choosing from our huge selection of quilting designs.

 

We can also create a more custom-looking quilt with the addition of traditional quilt blocks or an applique banner with a name to the overall design based on the style and number of blocks in the quilt. We are also happy to try to make a quilt of your own layout/design and will work with you to choose fabrics, piecing layouts, and quilting designs to make your vision become a reality. Custom quilt sizes vary by design and hours required to complete the project and are charged at an additional $53/hour above the pricing listed below.

Quilt Types

Standard T-Shirt Quilt - The base price per T-Shirt block is $25.00.  This is what you will receive unless you specify otherwise. It includes the sashing, cornerstones, accent border, and 4-inch outer border, batting, backing fabric, and quilting, design.

Basic T-Shirt Quilt - The base price per T-Shirt block is $22.00.  Only has one optional 4-inch border. An accent border is not an option for this quilt.

Frameless/No-Sashing T-Shirt Quilt – The base price is based on $20.00 per block. No sashing or cornerstones. The quilt has binding or facing only.

Memory Quilts - Quilts made from non-t-shirt clothing- prices vary depending on the complexity of blocks, number of seams, and other design elements.

Custom Quilts- Double-sided T-shirt quilts and blocks requiring special sewing to create as well as having multiple design elements all fall into the Custom Quilt category. Prices vary based on size, complexity, and time required to complete ($53.00/hour).

Other Details

All special details will be discussed prior to starting the quilt. No changes to the design are allowed once sewing begins.  Any requested special details that are discussed will be noted on the work order form. You are welcome to email or come in to discuss your preferred layout of the T-shirt blocks if that is applicable to the design. Work will not begin until all details have been agreed upon and written in the work order. Agreement/Understanding statement must be signed and on file with QBQ.

Combines - There is an extra $7.50 charge per block for 'simple' additional seams.

 

A 'Simple seam' is one additional seam in the block. These include:

• • combining of 2 shirts (or a front and back) to make one block
  • combining small logos from different T-shirts to make one block
  • adding fabric behind V-neck (such as a Sports Jersey)

Complex piecing. When more than one seam is involved, or creating a block out of oddly shaped items, it requires more time to piece the block and is an additional fee of $10.00 per block.
Return Shipping for each quilt will be via USPS and their pricing varies by weight. They offer additional insurance, urgency of delivery, and tracking options and the fees vary. Sales tax is charged for all quilts.

Deposit – An estimated 50% deposit is required at the time of ordering. When your T-Shirt quilt(s) is complete, we will send an email requesting the final balance including the shipping charge**.  If you use a credit card your quilt will ship the same or the next day after receiving notice of payment.

Completion and Pick-up or Shipping- We pride ourselves on quick, professional service. Our average turnaround time is 4 to 6 weeks depending on the complexity of the project. If you want to guarantee delivery in less than 4 weeks, please add a $50.00 expedited fee per quilt at the time of order, plus you may need to pay for overnight shipping if that is required.

**Shipping will be determined after completion of the quilt if needed.

***Sashing is a colored strip of 100% cotton fabric between each square. It typically coordinates with the backing color you select but can be based on the predominant colors of the shirts. If cornerstones are requested color selections will be documented for accuracy.

Cornerstones are squares of fabric that are pieced within the sashing and fit in at the corners of the blocks. Cornerstones can be made the same color as or of a contrasting color to the sashing, just be sure to note that on the order form.

Disclaimer 1 Our 'busiest' times are prior to the May school graduation time and the Christmas holidays so it might take a little longer. We recommend completing requests well ahead of those times to assure that your project is ready for gifting if that is your purpose. Be sure to let us know if you have a specific deadline that we need to meet.

Disclaimer 2 All clothing used to make blocks is disassembled and cut to fit the desired area or aesthetic of the blocks. All unused components will be returned upon completion of the quilt and will be added to the overall weight of the package for shipping, thereby increasing the cost of shipping unless otherwise determined and documented.

We will include Washing and Care instructions for your use at the time of Pick up or in the box prior to shipping.
